Monday 28 July 2014.
While the new service centre is being completed all services will
be available from our Tuggeranong Service Centre,
Tuggeranong Square, Corner Anketell Street and
Reed Street South, Tuggeranong.
You can use your online account or Express Plus mobile apps to
complete some of your business with us.
Self-service facilities are available at the Woden Medicare
Service Centre on Level 2 of the West eld Plaza.
Staff are available to assist you to log on and use these services.

PEST IS FOUND IN NORTH
Residents are urged to look out for the
pest Madagascan fireweed which has
been spotted in Canberra s north. The
weed was discovered in Forde,
Franklin, Chisholm, Casey, Lyneham
and Crace. ACT Government
biosecurity manager Stephen Hughes
said that weed management staff were
taking steps to control the fireweed s
spread as quickly as possible and
before the plants can flower and spread

CHANGES TO TERRITORY
Community consultation for two
significant planning variations is under
way. These include draft variation 297,
regarding areas of high ecological
value, and draft variation 319, which
proposes to change zoning provisions
for Kinlyside, Taylor, Horse Park
north, Jacka and Throsby. The draft
variations are available for public
comment from tomorrow until
$1.2m modernisation begins for ageing shopping centre
An ageing Weston Creek shopping precinct will get
a $1.2 million facelift.
An upgrade of the Chapman shops will start this
month to improve access, lighting, landscaping,
parking and safety. Works are expected to be
completed by February next year.
A spokeswoman for Minister for Territory and
Municipal Services Shane Rattenbury said traders
would be consulted on the staging of works to reduce
the impact on business.
She said the shopping centre was prioritised for an
