After researching Mary Gilmore s

was inspired to discover more about
her life and share it with the world.
"I wrote the book [All My Love] that

subsequent years I wrote the play
based on the book," she said.
"It is about the lifelong friendship
and love story of Mary and Henry,
about their two mothers, about their
closeness in their early 20s and their
meeting again later in London."

In an era of minimalist electronica
and rap music, it sounds slightly dated
and in the same zone as Imagine
Dragons or a watered down Muse.
Nothing is particularly risky -- but
Conor Mason s soaring vocals are a
mix between Jeff Buckley, Adele and
Muse front-man Matt Bellamy. That
voice is a powerful tool to lift these
middle of the road rock songs into
the stratosphere, and his band plays to
this vocal strength.
Opener Excuse Me is a dynamic pop
song that seems vaguely familiar with
guitar arpeggios and a simple rhythm
section accompaniment backing up
Mason s singing. But at the 50-second
mark, the song shifts to a widescreen
rock chorus, "Excuse me while I run,
I really gotta get outta here." The song
sounds like a Baby Animals number --
modest rock led by a powerful voice
and a predictable chorus.
There are variations to the sturdy
rock formula of Nothing but Thieves --
the dance-rock of Wake Up Call is a
highlight and the stale rock ballad of
