The talented BCC coaches and mem-
bers can assist with developing flexibility,
technique and strength in dance, and
also promote self-confidence, teamwork
and leadership skills, as they have a real
passion for self-improvement and
growth. A number of former and current
BCC members credit many life successes
to the experience and skills they gained
Cali-dance teams compete in numer-
ous physical routines ranging from preci-
sion marching and apparatus routines to
ballet-style dance and gymnastics routin-
es, all of which encourage flexibility and
core strength. Additional routines
include singing and acting.
BCC classes are run locally at Charles
Conder Primary School between Febru-
ary and November each year. As cali-
dance is a team sport, every member of
the team is vital and plays an important
role in each class and competition.
Competitions are held over June, August,
September and October, and require all
club participants to be present.
Then there are the amazing costumes
created for each routine -- stunning
fabrics, dazzling sequins and overall
sparkle will ensure your child shines
even more on stage.

Empowering girls for life
The Canberra Physical Culture Club
has been operating for more than 30
years in the south Canberra area and
has had many generations participate
within the club.
Physie is one of the few sports where
grandmothers, mothers, daughters
and granddaughters can all be mem-
bers of the same club at the same time,
experiencing the friendships and close-
knit bonds that Physie creates.
Physie is more than just a sport -- its'
a welcoming community of fun,
healthy, active families.
Fun, upbeat music is the soundtrack
to the sport, which fuses dance styles
such as jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contem-
porary, aerobic dance and even yoga.
Physie is the perfect combination of
movements designed to increase
strength, fitness and flexibility.
Benefits include increased co-
ordination, brain development and
confidence, and, best of all, it won't
break the bank.

celebrated some great successes in
2014, including a number of teams and
