NATIONAL SENIORS AUSTRALIA
(NSA) - CANBERRA SOUTH BRANCH
The Canberra South Branch of NSA will hold its
last monthly meeting for 2014. The guest
speaker will be a representative from
ACTSmart Sustainability Programs who will
talk about Energy Saving in the home. Those
who are not NSA members are most welcome
to attend. November 26, 10.30am. The

THE CANBERRA TIMES KIDS' GLASS
As part of Design Canberra, Canberra
Glassworks invites kids aged 3-13 years old to
design FUNNY FUNCTIONAL FACES to be made
in glass by a professional artist for Design
Canberra. One lucky young designer will have
their FUNNY FUNCTIONAL FACE made in the
Hotshop by a Canberra Glassworks during that
afternoon. Saturday, November 22. It's free to
enter. Two other winners will be selected from
other entries submitted through The Canberra
Times. All designs must be submitted by
Monday, November 24.

FUND-RAISER WITH INXS
A very special gig is being held to raise money
for a 5-year-old boy, Shaye, who has had an
acquired brain injury since he was four days
old. The evening event will feature the talent of
Ciaran Gribbin, lead singer of INXS. He will be
supported on the night by local musicians.

The next meeting of the Tuggeranong VIEW
club will feature a guest speaker from Donate
life, a raffle will be held. Wednesday, November

WODEN VIEW CLUB
Meet the ladies of Woden VIEW Club for a two-
course luncheon and enjoy Christmas
celebrations with the Entertainer Dallas
Atkins. This is an activity to support The Smith
Family and its Learning for Life Program.

The last meeting of the year will include

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION MARKET
This year the Market is back, bigger and better

BOOKS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
The Belconnen branch of the Country Women's
Assoc. is holding a presentation on the
importance of children's literature. Guest
speaker will be the Belconnen Branch
president, a retired early childhood teacher
with more than 40 years experience. Entry by
gold coin donation, morning tea provided.

PAIN SUPPORT ACT
Pain Support ACT provides support,
information and assistance for people living
with debilitating persisting pain. A mix of
support and expert speaker meetings for
people with pain and help them with local
information. The next Support Meeting and will
include a Christmas lunch. November 25,

Madigan and Maitland Streets, Hackett.

Warrani Chorale will present Part 2 of Musical
Theatre Memories Concert. The program will
include songs from Phantom of the Opera,
Carousel, Music Man and some Christmas
Carols to be sung in four part harmony.
Morning tea will be provided by the Chorale

The Andante Andante Choir (otherwise known
as the ABBA choir) rehearses every Monday
night (except during school holidays). New
Choir members are welcome to join anytime.
No previous singing experience is required as

The Glass Workshop is holding its annual
fundraising event, Annual Glass Sale featuring
unique hand-made glass by students, staff

QUEANBEYAN SUMMER SUNSET
The Queanbeyan Summer Sunset Markets in
conjunction with Queanbeyan Children's
Special Needs Group has strong focus on
supporting and encouraging high quality local
handmade arts and craft practitioners, local
produce suppliers, local entertainers and
performers. Every Friday, 5pm--8pm.
