An inspiring story

Property Club, where Pat Farmer will be speaking.
Pat Farmer is an extreme ultra
marathon runner, achieving historic
and world record breaking runs
through some of the most inhospitable
His physical and mental achieve-
ments have put him in the company of
the world's greatest adventurers and
he is possibly the world's greatest
Some of Mr Farmer's runs include
the Pole to Pole Run, Middle East Peace
Run, Vietnam Run, Around Australia
Run, Simpson Desert Run, and Trans
America Run. He has raised millions of
dollars for causes during his 20-year
running career including Lifeline, Can-
cer Council, Australian and Interna-
tional Red Cross and Diabetes
His Pole to Pole run, dedicated to
raising money and awareness for Red
Cross clean water and disaster relief
projects, took him through extreme
weather conditions, jungles and
deserts, facing dangers from bears,
bandits and crocodiles.
All 21,000 kilometres was run over
10 months, averaging 65 kilometres
every day, the equivalent of two mara-
thons per day.
None of these would have been
