MAKE 2014 A MUCH BETTER RIDE
Creating your Will is one of the most important things you can do to ensure your loved ones are taken
care of. It doesn't have to be dif cult. The Salvation Army is supported by solicitors who volunteer their
time to create or update your simple Will for a donation of $50 per person to the work of the local Salvos.
Wills Day - Thursday 25th September, 2014
The Salvation Army - Cnr Fawkner & Elouera Streets, Braddon
$50 donation per person to the work of the local Salvos
While there is no obligation, after taking care of your loved ones we would be honoured if you would
consider a gift to the Salvos in your Will.

Makes plans to improve your mobility
The key to ongoing independence is
often down to good planning and
preparation for your home, social life
Minor modifications around the
house such as the removal of trip
points, possibly installing a few ramps
where stairs exist at the front or rear of
the home, minor bathroom adjust-
ments and a rail or two can help.
Canberra has excellent bike paths
and footpaths perfect for the use of
mobility scooters. This means that you
can get out and about to the shops, visit
friends or keep appointments if you
have a scooter. Modern scooters have
good range, and can be fitted with
shopping bags and other accessories to
make life easier.
Smaller scooters, which are designed
to break down and fit in the boot of
most cars, can be handy too if you are
still able to drive. There are even boot
hoists available to help load and unload
None of these ideas should replace
regular exercise, but getting out and
about at least once a week can help
keep you up to date and reinforce your
feeling of independence.
Many retirees will recall buying a
new car to see them through retire-
ment. Perhaps it is time to assume a
new attitude towards mobility and self
The team at The Wheelchair Fact-
ory is happy to provide advice and
assistance to people who are looking
for ways to improve their mobility.
