FRIENDLY GOSPEL CHOIR
The Gospel Folk is a friendly bunch of women
and men who enjoy singing gospel, folk and
popular songs, usually in four-part harmony.
No auditions, low membership fees, lots of
support. We practice Wednesdays 7.30-

BOLLYWOOD DANCE CLASS
If you want to keep fit and active and learn a
new style of dancing then come along to our
Bollywood classes. Classes at Belconnen,
Tuggeranong, Woden, Gungahlin. Every
Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday 7.30pm at

MALAYA AND BORNEO VETERANS
A ceremony will be held to remember all
members of the Commonwealth Far East
Strategic Reserve who served and those who
died in the Malayan Emergency and the
Indonesian Confrontation 1966. Friday August
29, 11am at the Australian War Memorial.

The Andante Andante Choir (otherwise known
as the ABBA choir) rehearses every Monday
night (except during school holidays). New
Choir members are welcome to join anytime.

Circle of Friends Social Group is a Canberra
based social group for mostly over 45s who
provide a means for meeting people and
having a good time through a variety of

COLONIAL BALL 2014
Celebrate the beauty of dance and music from
a bygone era. The 33rd Colonial Ball, is an
evening of traditional dance with music by the
Heritage Ensemble. No dance experience is
necessary as all dances are called, or you can
learn them at the regular Bush Dance evenings
on Mondays at All Saints Hall in Ainslie. For

Queanbeyan Art Society presents their annual
Queanbeyan City Council exhibition at the
gallery. Plenty of stand-out works, including

WALKING FOR PLEASURE
Joining a regular walking program is a simple
and enjoyable way of life. During winter,
Walking for Pleasure conducts walks at
9.30am on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday. Walks are between one

This is a community group which meets for

A social group for people over 50 who would

The Brindabella Orchestra will present their
"Farewell to Winter" concert. The orchestra will
perform works by Delibes, Gilbert and Sullivan,
Beethoven, Saint-Saens and other popular
composers. The Brindabella Orchestra began
in the late 1990s and started as a University
of the Third Age activity with about 15 players
and today boasts a membership of more than
40 players. Cost $5, includes afternoon tea.

MONARO FOLK SOCIETY
Monaro Folk Society is holding a bush dance.
Enjoy a night of lively bush dancing to the
music of Southern Cross Bush Band. All the
dances are taught and called and no partners
are necessary. Please bring a plate of supper
